Using Rodeo

Rodeo is a web-based data science IDE for Python — like RStudio, but for Python code. Domino lets you use Rodeo (along with several other interactive tools) to edit Python code interactively, giving you access to plots, a file browser, and other features that are helpful when authoring code.

Starting a Rodeo Session

On the "Runs" dashboard of your project, click the "Notebook" drop-down menu and choose "Rodeo"

When rodeo is available, you'll see a button in the right pane to "Open session" -- that will take you to the Rodeo interface, where you'll see all your project's files. Btw, you can synchronize files to/from your Rodeo session the same way as described on our Jupyter page.

You may see an error similar to the following, please disregard it:

You are now presented with Rodeo's interface

For more documentation on using Rodeo itself, please see the Rodeo site.
